189th Annual Parade
The Annual Orange Parade held under the auspices of the County Orange Lodge of Toronto shall take place on Saturday July, 11th begging at 11:00 AM. Leaving Moss Park Armouries at the corner of Queen Street East and Jarvis Street, the parade shall go west on Queen Street, north on Bay Street, East on College Street, south on Yonge Street, east on Shuter Street returning to the Armouries.
At the head on the parade wreathes shall be laid at the Civic Cenotaph on behalf of the County Orange Lodge of Toronto (County Master Edward Kelly) and the Orange Ladies of Toronto (Sister Barbara Mooney), in memory of all Canadians who have paid the supreme sacrifice in our defense.
Following the Parade a brief platform programme shall take place, which includes our charitable donation from the County Master’s Fund to a representative of the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
During the afternoon we shall be entertained by the various bands that have taken part in the Parade. Food and refreshment shall be available, and there shall be amusements for the youngsters. All are invited to Toronto to join with us in a family celebration of the Glorious Twelfth.
The parade Marshall is Brother Glen Hosking. We trust Lodges and members shall give Glen and his helpers the utmost of co-operation.
