Toronto County L.O.L. – Nov 6th, 2010

 

The County Orange Lodge of Toronto held its Annual Royal Arch Purple Degree Day at the County Hall on Saturday November the 6th. The Arch Purple Degree was conferred, in time-honoured tradition on a group of seven candidates, by the officers and members of Toronto County Loyal Orange Lodge.

 

The following brethren were recipients of the Degree:

 

Gordon Halliday – Highland Creek L.O.L.2934 (Toronto)

David Howie – Highland Creek L.O.L.2934 (Toronto)

Drew Richardson – Ulster Purple Star L.O.L.2123 (Hamilton)

James Hamilton – Vimy L.O.L.2697 (Whitby)

Andrew Maxwell – Vimy L.O.L.2697 (Whitby)

James Melville – Vimy L.O.L.2697 (Whitby)

and William Scott – Vimy L.O.L.2697 (Whitby)

 

With County Master, Most Worshipful Brother David Griffin in the chair, the degree was conferred by Brothers Michael Thomas, Edward Baxter, Donald Guy, Jason Guy, Thomas Forster, John Wells, Adrian Watt, James Maxwell, Bryan Hargan, Gerry Morgan, Mark Aiken and Gerry Darroch.

Right Worshipful Brother Dennis Glazier, Provincial Grand Master, extended his best wishes to all on behalf of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ontario West. Also in attendance were Worshipful Brother George MacDonald of Hamilton and Worshipful Brother Robert Williamson from Brampton. The newly initiated Royal Arch Purple Marksmen were presented with certificates from the Grand Orange Lodge of Canada and 150th Anniversary Medallions from the County Orange Lodge of Toronto.

 

 A tasty luncheon, prepared by Sister Shirley Buchanan, followed in the Lounge and members donated in excess of $215.00 to the County Master’s Fund (Juvenile Diabetes Assoc.).

 

 The members of the County Orange Lodge of Toronto are proud to continue this proud tradition and look forward to next year’s event.
